Simon Scumbag Reference Sheet

Share

Simon Z. Slickman, nicknamed Simon Scumbag in the neighborhood, is Gimmy's short and irritable neighbor living across the street in a ranch-style house that's kinda seen better days. Having a design obviously heavily inspired by Dexter, and a personality reminiscent of Phoney Bone and Plankton, Simon's main goal in life is to make huge amounts of cash. He's greedy, self-centered, and is usually always hatching a get-rich-quick scheme. Simon will also on a regular basis try to get Gimmy to cough up the secret to his family's fortune, where Gimmy, much to his dismay, keeps his mouth zipped and tells him "NO". Simon is the boss of his household and has a sizable group of minions to aid him in his troubles, lackeys Slam & Jr., and a TV-robot assistant named A.R.M.S. Simon is also an inventor of sorts, having a lab upstairs in his house where he gets it all done (probably where most of his money goes). No matter what, however, Simon just has a hard time getting recognition by the neighbors and everyone else, cuz he's kind of a jerk. I don't quite know yet if his grouchiness stems from his childhood, but I'll hopefully get into his backstory one day, can't develop these characters overnight obviously. Simon may be a giant ass, but I love him, never get bored of sketching him. Oh, and if you were wondering about the mad scientist get-up, it's just how he likes to dress, IDK why.
