Trying my hand at another big collage piece for this contest, I think I've gotten a lot better at making these characters really look like they actually fit into whatever environment that they're put in- I didn't know how to properly use layer settings so a lot of the time the characters would look weirdly out of place especially if they were in some sort of dark environment. I usually just do two different shades of one color for the lighting and the shading in my art- but I thought having the shadows have this sort of green hue would give it more of those Halloween vibes. Looking back on it though, I realize it makes it harder to tell what some of the characters are dressed up as (like Pico and Captain both have green skin under the shading because they were supposed to be zombies but its a bit harder to tell because of the shading), and I went with red for the lighting because of the blood moon. Another note, okay so not all of the characters are dressed up- and that's because I think some already have those Halloween costume vibes to them? Like salad fingers for example. But yeah I think this one looks pretty good actually.
