Honestly I 100% believe toned tan sketchbooks are better than the regular kind. Like its more or less the same if you're only gonna be using pencils and stuff to shade but I mainly like it because of the fact that it lets you use white colored pencils. I don't think i've actually used a white colored pencil in any scenario ever except for when its in a tan sketch book. It took me a bit to get a bit better at using those white pencils because I used to only really use them to outline my art but then I realized "wait I can go light on how hard I press down and use it as highlights like digital art". Not really a discovery as much as it was my brain remembering that I could do something.
