So lately, I've been obsessed with this Japan-exclusive PS2 game called Poinie's Poin. It's a very bizarre game to say the least; it's set in a colorful, surreal world full of unusual characters, it was originally written and produced in English, there's random moments of moderate profanity that clash heavily with the overall tone, there's a character that sounds like Eric Cartman (the team behind the Japanese dub of South Park apparently handled the English version)...oh yes, and the soundtrack slaps. Hard. Although there's a good chance I'll never be able to play the game myself, I find myself coming back to watch playthroughs and listen to the soundtrack on YouTube. It's captivating, to say the least.

A minor part of the game's story involves the main character Poinie being excited for an upcoming in-universe movie made by - and starring - a space pirate named Bon Jovie. This game has a wide and diverse cast of NPC characters, so I thought it'd be fun to draw Poinie having brought a few of the friends he made over the course of his adventure to the premiere of the film, which no doubt became the first movie to make a Bon-Jovillion dollars at the box office.
