A beast of limbo, the grimataur breaks the bonds, of lost souls, linking them to their bodies amongst their regrets; feasting upon their souls as they find enlightenment. By eating these enlightened souls he wishes to one day find enlightenment himself and be free of his chains and hence he only condemns himself further, growing more wicked and grotesque with each passing century, forgetting his true self, the man he once was.
