I hope you all enjoy my entry to Jazza's art contest with the theme being "Isolation", where the key feature was going to be lighting.

From the start on I knew I wanted something that wasn't someone that was completely alone, and I also didn't want the isolation to be something a person was just feeling, I wanted it to show that the being was isolated. So with that in mind I tried to think outside the box and ended up with a fairy that was isolated from it's natural habitat, and instead treated like a object to showcase.

Here are 4 out of 12 wips I made for the illustration. From the first real sketch, to the changes I made at the end, removing the curtain and changing the layout of the books and the elf outside.

I've been drawing on this on and off for the last weeks, using Adobe Photoshop and my Wacom Intuos Pro Medium tablet. I've also uploaded the drawing to https://www.artstation.com/dragonteal
