There's some good information here and as an artist I can't fault you but from a practical sword design perspective I have to offer a serious critique.

the crossguard alone of your "good" design would weigh about 2.5kg this is about double the weight of an average arming sword. You could certainly argue a fantasy character would have the strength to wield it but most of that mass would serve more function literally anywhere else. There is a lot you can play around with in guard design but you need to make an effort to keep the weight down.

There are also spikes pointing in towards the hand from the pommel, they serve no purpose other than to make the sword more dangerous to use. There are spikes pointing in from the crossguard which aren't quite as dangerous but still more of a hindrance than a help.

The secondary guard looks excessively heavy too, probably another 800g or so. Surely it's purpose is to catch other weapons yet the shape of your blade's curve seems almost designed to deflect them past it! I'd either remove the curve from that bit of the blade to make catching weapons easier or add a feature to actively trap the blade like you see on "sword breakers".

The pommel is about 6 inches long and has a spike on it! More dangerous to the user than their opponent. You could either make it shorter and use the spike offensively or remove the spike and slim it down a little and have the option to grab the pommel for two handed techniques.

The end of the sword makes thrusting more difficult and would make it more likely to get stuck in your target. If you were using it to cut it would severely limit your ability to draw/push. It might make it better at piercing poor quality armour but it wouldn't get deep enough to do any real damage and would likely get stuck as well. If you only had that on one side you could exaggerate it a bit more so it would be effective at peircing or perhaps have it hooking back so it could be used to hook shields like a bearded axe.

"Don't make the grip round"
As a general rule yes but there are times when it is viable. If the sword is purely for thrusting, it has other features which aid edge alignment or if it's a lightsabre having a round grip doesn't make a difference. There are plenty of historical examples of the former 2.

"You should have your blade the same weight as your handle"
Do you mean the hilt or the handle? Handle is another word for the grip whereas hilt refers to everything except the blade. Are you including the tang as part of the handle or the blade? Are you even talking about weight or are you trying to describe centre of balance? Regardless this is just wrong. Except for the pommel you should never add mass to the hilt for the purpose of balance and the balance point is different depending on how the sword is designed to be used.

You also need to fix the links in your description box.

Glad to see stuff like this for aspiring creative people to benefit from! :D

I think you covered some of the highest priority issues, but I feel like there's room to give a brief mention of not oversaturating your colors. I see that CONSTANTLY when games give people control of equipment customization. I can see why you might want to keep the list as brief as possible though.

Aside from that, the main thing I'd have to point out is that there are loads of spelling and grammar errors in this, which I think is a bit of a problem when you're making something educational. Even though it probably doesn't hinder anyone from understanding your explanations, it can undermine your authority. Run stuff like this through a thorough spellchecking tool! :P
