Been designing some “iconics” a la Pathfinder for the tabletop I’ve been working on. I decided having example characters like this would help to communicate the sort of characters and stories I want the system to support, as well as giving it some concrete identities to work with.
De-emphasizing fight-to-0hp combat means I get to make classes that are mostly just really good at talking to people and it’s not like some weird vague suboptimal way to play the game.
