Dang, I also can't help but keep chuckling at that hilarious pfp whenever I see it.. Jake as pikachu, lmao...

I mean, it has gotten worse after there was this whole COPPA thing or whatever happeneing, and Youtube changing too, making it much harder to keep engagement going. Popularity dropped fast due to needing to be a kids only channel, but then trying to swap back after it not working out. It's all rather weird.

But yeah, the boss itself and us as a team did not like the direction we had to take either, but we were kinda forced in order to keep the business sustainable. So we had to rely more on clickbait. Eventually we wanted to make what the thumbnails actually showed, and it started with Garten of Banban pardodies that eventually led to Skibidi parodies too. Those episodes are now erased from the main Pencilmation channel however. These episodes are on a different channel.

Anywho, there will not be any new Pencilmation episodes for the foreseeable future, but I think they will keep uploading compilations and re-runs of older episodes

It's unfortunate, but that is the rough gist of it. We all tried to make fun episodes regardless though. I've storyboarded quite a few and written some myself too.

Pencilmation was a pretty popular 2D animated cartoons series with simple figures on Youtube. They were even featured in one of those Youtube rewinds, for being a very big and popular animated series

But it has not been going well anymore lately, and everyone kinda got laid off unfortunately. So, this doodle is my goodbye to them. Having worked over just 7 years with these characters and the team at Pencilmation
