Billy "Balloon Head" Murphy BustConcept

Share

Name: Billy Murphy

Occupation: Aircraft Mechanic, Zeppelin Engineer, Aeroglider Pilot

Bio: Billy Murphy is a small statured teenaged orphan who dreamt of become a balloon pilot like the ones he'd gawk at outside the window over the nearby airfield. He promised himself that he'd become the best pilot the world has ever seen. One day he snuck out of the orphanage and stowed away in the storage compartments of a departing behemoth dirigible headed for Jekotia. The captain found Billy trying to steal scraps from the kitchen one night, after some time, Billy was recruited onto the crew as the "Gutter Rat" and quickly became the ship's mascot. The job of a gutter rat was to clear the exhaust pipes for the dirigibles balloon mounted engines from time to time. He earned the name "Balloon Head" from an incident where he was climbing the scaffolding on the side of one of the balloons during a surprise electrical storm. He was immobilized from the static electricity in the dry cold air zapping him every time he'd attempt to separate from the electrically charged balloon. He was found hours later clinging on the side of the balloon, the static electricity permanently petrified his hair into an upright position, comparable to rubbing one's head with a rubber balloon. An odd curiosity about Billy is that he has retained a very small electrical charge ever since that event, baffling the medical officer aboard and occasionally zapping those who get too close to him. Billy devised a special metal ring and copper wire straps that would ground him of any static.
