I'm a bit late to the party but I wanted to make sure this was made better than what I have been doing over the past years since Charles Martinet and Mario still have a strong impact on my livelihood to certain aspects since my very early childhood.
I’m going to miss him as the voice of Mario. I actually met him a few years ago at a convention and he was a really nice guy. At least he will still be serving as an ambassador role for the Mario games and character as well as Nintendo itself. I hope they can find someone who is good at impersonating his Mario voice and they can probably still use some recycled audio clips of his Mario voice at times.

There's a lot to be grateful for his role as Mario over the years. I'm hopeful that, in his own way in the new role will help those who are voicing him for future titles. Either way, I'm grateful for the fact that his contribution to the Mario franchise as a whole has left a fond impact in many people's childhoods... Including my own.
