Swapnote was released on December 2011, and the ability to send drawings and notes over the internetz got removed on October 2013.
On November 2016, a "sequel" called Swapdoodle was released, this one kept fully functioning online for far longer, until April 2024, with the shutdown of the 3DS and Wii U online services.
anyways i didn't use swapdoodle that much, these are all from 2023 and 2024, but i do think it is the best free 3ds drawing app (the others being miiverse, game notes, swapnote, and the 3ds camera of course)
