Seaside and Land

Was originally was gonna be done yesterday, it is a sister artwork to another I am working on..... I think it turned on pretty good as I have been trying to learn to draw more than just generic locations. Never tried seasides or forests, and I drew something rather dark.... Besides i needed to experiment with my brushes, how they would react to being as harsh as possible. I done all of this in krita

Beautiful piece here

The snow and the trees its just a beautiful piece you really created a beautiful snowy backdrop here, Love the paint style detail in creating a winter wonderland here so awsome talents indeed

It has aged well, but considering most stuff during that time.

Nice!

Impressive
I'm still learning Krita
I hope it allows for more artistic drawing than gimp did for me

DevilRat responds:

I use krita as well, and also.... Gimp is a photo editor first.... When it comes to brushes... Use custom brushes, as most of krita's default brushes are pretty blurry and also use the lasso tool. If want to see evidience of that direct issue.... Try anything made before Dec. 25th Which was atropic cave, before seeing early custom brush work being very pastel until more recently....

I really like the wintery touch with this one. Frosty, not the most detailed but hazy in a real atmospheric way... very nice!

DevilRat responds:

The artwork is I would say semi detailed, but not very fimilar with oceans at all, and this was an experiment for that. Considering learning to improve atmosphere. Just minor touch ups....
