I tried controlling my brightness in the shadow family by mixing brow + cool colors, and a ton of purple. :X In traditional, I learn heavily on my purples and blues for mixing for a shadows or two. Tried to make crayons look good despite the limitation of mostly high value or barely any mid-tone, or straight up NO DARK SATURATIONS. ( Dark blues, dark purples, dark greens, dark browns )...
