The result of a more refined art workflow. Lately I would usually paint on one layer, but I saw someone else use "overpaint layers", and things just clicked once I started using them.

Lots of playing with HSV sliders, which I hadn't really taken advantage of in a while. Actually the one I was using was Hue Saturation Lightness, looking back at Krita... that's definitely why I was having some troubles getting my colors looking right...

Also, #2 is the initial sketch that made me really want to work on the piece (I liked the chin, even if a bit silly).
