Not even human :(

How Could I Be So Cruel?

I had a nightmare where I said this to someone putting on makeup, it was needlessly vicious and pointlessly cruel.

It was a nightmare since I had no control over the events that happened in it, events that involved some kind of uprising or a protest. I was trying to get away from it before the authorities showed up. While making my escape by walking through walls (dream logic), someone stopped me. They had a lot of makeup on, trying to hide their spotted face and they asked me desperately if they were beautiful, I responded with "you're not even human". It is such a cruel respond, I can't believe I would say such a thing.

The nightmare was the way I acted, and not the violent event I was in the middle of.

I figured that the desperation of the individual that stopped me and the needless cruelty of how I acted, perfectly fits two characters I made.

Prince Edward, a young royal who fakes who he is to please others. He tries to be cold hearted inquisitor but he he fails to keep the façade

And Penelope Love, the grand inquisitor who as you have read is cruel for the sake of it.

Funny thing is that Penelope Love is based on the aspects I didn't like about who I was. I guess a part of me will always haunt my nightmares ;D

I guess the needlessness is what makes me furious

Love the composition of this!! So expressive with just two sentences and two panels!

Daysdove responds:

Thank you :D the expression, the simple malice and the emptiness was what I wanted to show with this one, specially since the idea came from a nightmare.
