Next up, Vola the Mandibuzz. A toxic birdy with quite a bit of history, her design being based on the bearded vulture and mad scientists.

Background in text form if it’s too hard to read: Originally from Unova, Vola is quite different from the rest of her species. While most Mandibuzzes have more of a knack in terms of decoration, and eating weakened Pokémon, Vola has more of a knack for science, particularly toxicology. She decided, after leaving the nest, to explore the world and study. She started to purposefully get captured by trainers who are from different regions, and when they return to their homeland, abandon the trainer and start studying the various poison type Pokémon that a region holds. This continued until she got caught by a scientist with similar goals as himself. They were a toxicologist, and was also traveling the world. At first Vola never cared for any trainer, however this seemed to be an exception to her, as she got quite close to them, and never left. That was until one night, in the Kanto region, the scientist was bitten by a feral pack of arboks, and soon died from the venom. Vola felt bitter and angry towards the arboks, and swear hatred on any snake Pokémon. That hatred would soon turn into pain, as while chasing the band of arboks for vengeance, she went straight into a bush of poison ivy, causing scaring in her eyes that was so bad, she had to wear goggles that could cleanse the pain that was caused by the ivy.

Her trends of traveling and leaving trainers continued, however, until she found himself in Kitakami. There, while investigating, found a pool filled with beautiful crystals. She decided to dip her hand in the pool, before grabbing a purple shard. She decided to adorn it as a hair decoration, and before she knew it, she found himself being able to use the move Toxic, something she’s never been able to use before. She was now a poison type Pokémon himself, in a way. Her journey through Kitakami continued, until one day when she met me. She saw a spark in me that was similar to that of the scientist long ago, and so decided to stick around with me. She became fond of the rest of the Pokémon with me, especially Chai the Mamoswine. Her studies isn’t over, but she’s certainly a lot better now.
