It began in the last summer of the 20th century. For the first time, humanity realized they weren't the rulers of this planet anymore. The Gods, monsters from the depths of the Earth, the sea, and even forgotten myths and legends kept appearing one after another. They came to bring an end to the era of humanity. And then, in the end, our worst nightmare appeared... Godzilla. Monster or man, it burned everything in sight; the Avatar of Destruction. The Earth collapsed and the skies rained fire. In the end, we sought to save our beautiful, blue world from becoming a scorched wasteland. The world came together, pooling resources and throwing aside old rivalries for the greater good. However, even WITH our collective intelligence, Godzilla's destructive power overwhelmed us completely.

The precious few who entered the Anti-Godzilla City are humanity's last survivors. But they found a hell worse than a ravaged world: endless days of hunger, thirst, and bitter cold. Some fell to disease, and others gradually lost their sanity. Far outside, an ancient race of humans has learned to co-exist with the Gods, and could be the key to humanity's survival.
