This story will no longer be associated with the Nikkuverse, but rather its own story. This means Mikaela Spencer, her father, and Ivan Jablonsky, who were all set to appear, are not likely going to appear now. Whether this means I will have to scale Kong down from my original 50-meter tall idea remains to be determined. The new plan is that the story will still be told via flashback, but it will be Ann Darrow and Jack Driscoll telling the story to their kid. This story will still use elements from the scrapped 1996 King Kong remake. I might also go back to Skull Island instead of Faro Island, but I don't know yet.

Plot: A greedy filmmaker, a troubled sailor, and a beautiful archaeologist embark on a search for a long-lost treasure, which takes them to Skull Island, the domain of the mighty King Kong.
