ultra high quality shitpost. this took me 9~ hours in total. it started out as "ill doodle these characters i like next to each other" but then it turned into this. this looks incomprehensible to many but ill explain: this is obviously inspired by early 00s (usually melodic) metalcore . yknow, 16-20 year old hardcore kids (that also sometimes liked [scr]e[a]mo) that only played their instruments for 1-2 years, sloppily but passionately playing metalcore/deathcore mixed with melodeath riffs and emo chord progressions, making one or two eps and if lucky an album and disbanding in a few years. literally my most favorite thing on earth.

and since i have heard almost all of it, i know recurring stereotypes or cliches (that isnt in the music) so i made this as a joke, since this is EXACTLY how the last page of CD booklets/side covers of the bands from that time from metalcore looked like. with corny and emo band names, with broken space names (Iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook, combatwoundedweteran, bornundersaturn, hopesfall), and use of cursive fonts (mostly taken from melodeath but on drugs) and typewriter fonts (mostly taken from 90s screamo), and them having member change troubles (nia is drumming here as replacement but when they play live they ask (idfk?) to play with them there but they arent an active member)

either way, i needed this rambling to make this make sense. im proud of it because its extremely accurate, just with that "deviantart artist drawing their favorite characters doing deranged stuff" autism into it (im autistic so it makes sense why id come up with this).

either way, drawing characters that arent just nia was refreshing.
