I don't know if you did this on purpose but to me they look like they'd be an offshoot of the Rock'em Sock'em robots.
I have been working on more concept art for my Animal Heroes series (which Magical Guardian Magus Doe is part of), and I'd like to share them with you.
Space Police Bergam is about a rabbit and his shark girlfriend being taken to our world by the space mafia Pazuu and has to protect the peace of our planet from them as space police.
Some of you may find the two of them familiar.
Bergam is a sturdy fighter, but surprisingly agile considering his body. He uses a state of the art gun that most space police uses, and the Bergcalibur, a blade able to vanquish evil that only the users with the Bergam title can use.
Tidal (his GF) is also equipped with the the gun (though she calls it a tidal blaster, even though it looks the same) and the Tidal Blade, a naginata like weapon that only someone with her title can use.
It's said that their kidnapping by the space mafia wasn't a accident as the current Bergam's missing uncle was said to have been the previous Bergam who fell in combat against the space mafia.

Nah, they're based on the Japanese Metal Heroes series. Though I guess I wouldn't blame you since they look like they could be toys. XD
(Maybe off-topic, but Rock'em Sock'em robots are a toy I have never seen irl. I guess they were never sold in Sweden?)
