Awesome project to work on!
I got to make 3 card illustrations for a custom set.
Here are the sketches, as always:
The approach was quite different from what I usually do. I painted the thumbnails to get the mood I wanted and then redrew the whole thing and painted it from scratch. I started with black and white but quickly switched to color to avoid getting very muted images, which are not my preference.
