After the release of Funkin' in 1999, the Funkin' Crew and Newgrounds wanted a wider audience beyond PlayStation players. In late 2000 they've announced remasters for the next generation of consoles. In 2001, Friday Night Funkin' was rereleased on the Sony PlayStation 2, the Nintendo GameCube, the dying Sega Dreamcast, and the newly arrived Microsoft Xbox.
