Main protagonist of the second Final Light series, Final Light: Entropy, its manga obsessed Ren!

Despite not being a historically significant species like Alkii or Flint, or part of the royal family like Ezrabelle, Ren Flagwas was one of the most remarkable men the Zingo Galaxy had seen - not to say he was the perfect man. Ren was stubborn and hotheaded, and would get agitated whenever things didn’t go his way. Despite that, it would be this hotheadedness that helped Ren stand up to and call out the evil Senator Visco, and lead Maximus Rex into the pit that would soon kill him. Unfortunately, this act of foolish bravery cost Ren a hand, a foot, a scalp and nearly half a million credits - the cyborg parts eventually replacing them costing such a hefty amount of credits that it took Ren a whole year to pay for it.

Unbeknownst to many, however, Ren’s distinctly angry personality was moulded from a traumatic childhood, living with his mother on a dying planet for 8 years, before being kidnapped and made into a slave - right after seeing his mother get murdered in front of his eyes. Luckily, Ren managed to escape before being sold, only to run into his master’s son - Smargg - with whom he’d stayed with for a year, becoming brotherly friends. A year later, the two would escape the planet and spend the next 8 years selling junk to other aliens across the galaxy, until eventually crashing into the Final Light ark - how Ren was known in the first place.

Throughout his life, Ren had forgotten this dubious past, but when exploring the strange realm of the Oppozone, the single touch of an abnormal crystal had suddenly, temporarily reactivated the other 90% of Ren's brain, causing every single memory he had experienced in his life to be remembered.. and Ren was NOT happy. After returning back to the Final Light ark, Ren and Smargg's relationship experienced its first schism, with Smargg's attempts at explaining his side in the story falling upon deaf ears, as his little brother went through a period of depression. Fortunately, the two's bond would heal slightly with the help of Ren's college roommate and best friend Lu, who acted as the diplomat between them.

Despite all the angst with Smargg and his difficulty adapting to the lifestyle of the Final Light ark, Ren became a hero, being one of the people who discovered a new universe for the inhabitants of the Zingo Galaxy to live in. Ren also would participate in the battle of the Zingonians vs the monstrous demigod Maximus Rex, who was preventing them from leaving. During the battle, Ren defended Smargg from getting blasted by Max, leaving him severly injured as a result. After returning home and staying in a hospital for 4 weeks, Ren managed to recover, albeit with robot parts, and was able to mend his relationship with Smargg.
