The first map for Grand Theft Auto '67, the San Andreas Bay -- the GTA incarnation of the San Francisco Bay Area; whilst I kept myself faithful for the lore of the Rockstar Games universe via keeping the San Francisco incarnation that is San Fierro as well as fictionalising nearly every single neighbourhood name (and combining the shortest number of them), I have left the names of the neighbouring communities Marin County, Sausalito, Oakland and Berkeley realistic but made most of their district names fictionalised for the sake of recreating the nostalgia of playing the experience of San Andreas in a GTA game.

Given how I coloured it fabulously, the idea for designing this map that way was influenced by the map layouts of New York City in 1978 and 2006 from Driver: Parallel Lines, along with its 1976 cousin, Driver '76. It certainly has a groovy vibe.

The text font I used for the neighbourhood names is "J. Airplane swash", downloaded from dafont.com.

The San Andreas Bay, the place where the Summer of Love, Vietnam War protests, liberal arts, the booming influence of Oriental immigration, the California Dream and everlasting sunshine and great times come, and they are all greater times when the '60s rolled in. Over in Oakland, there is a lot of funky happenings going on but on one hand, there is serious police corruption mostly due to racial tensions against African-Americans and secret deals with other gangs such as the Vecinos and Blood Serpents, leading to the rise of a black power group known as The Big Cats, who joined forces with two notoriously rebellious hippie movements known as the Dandies and Sunshine Circle, who are intent on overthrowing the U.S. government, even with the help of the Soviets, and dominating the entire Californian educational system like they did with Berkeley.

Over in southern San Fierro, SFPD has received reports that there is an ongoing war between the Godsends MC and an infamous gang of escaped convicts from Gander Island known as the "Prowlers" who intend to wreak infinite amounts of chaos on the streets and destroy the judicial system. Just north of San Fierro, two large Asian gangs are at each other's throats: Chinese-HK Triad Golden Chain Company and Vietnamese gang Nhom Bo Doi.
