As a result of her former master's contempt for her and her sisters, Karyn is timid, soft-spoken, thoughtful, polite and very shy, often using appropriate name suffixes. Because of her timid nature, she finds it hard to communicate with others and rarely speaks in public as she finds it hard. She is kind, a trait that her younger sister Mary used to consider a flaw, Karyn dislikes competing and fighting. Unlike her sister's, Karyn isn't concerned about hers or other's appearances and can look past how people appear and into their hearts. Due to her gentle nature, she doesn't like being mean to anyone and will actively avoid fights.

Due to her timid personality, Karyn is socially awkward around men, having trouble forming any words when speaking to them and sometimes feeling nervous around them. However, After spending time with Leonard without even realising it, she started developing romantic interest in him. Karyn after she finds out about Leonard's past life she feels guilty about what happened to Leonard after he was betrayed by his ex-wife, tries to gain confidence so that she can break through Leonard's emotional barriers and restore love and laughter to the man she loves.
