She can trap someone's consciousness in a virtual reality of horror, torturing the person for personal purposes, interrogating, repeating the process of pain and suffering, without the person knowing that it is a virtual reality.

As a consequence of her ability to access pre-death memory, she is sometimes haunted by spirits, ghosts and supernatural apparitions in the form of holograms of the consciousness of those who have died, seeing the dead in the state in which they died. In this Universe, Spirits are like corrupted files in the cloud, they are the consciousness of dead people who are trapped in the net and want to invade a person's body to control and live again.

Often because they are related to Archives and electronics, these spirits can control electronic equipment and manifest themselves in the form of a Hologram.

These possessing Spirits are part of a cybernetic network that try to take over the person's body, take over the body for themselves to live again, erasing the person's consciousness and taking possession of the person's body neurally through the network.

Ripley also deals with Zombies, in this universe these "Cyber zombies" have a different origin, as most people have a chip in their brain for neural connections, when a malware or virus can gain access to the corpse, it will take control of this corpse, creating an undead due to cybernetics, reactivates the brain creating zombies with superhuman abilities being able to use all the upgrade that this body had.

Just like an internet virus, anyone can be infected, they just don't know it until they die and the virus does its job sending electrical impulses to the brain and makes the corpses move.

They do not bite, do not infect, but kill. It's just a virus saying: KILL KILL KILL

As much as it is just a "Virus" its origin is paranormal, as well as spirits.

Science has evolved to the point where any paranormality can be explained as a file, virus, network, program.

Ripley is used to human coldness, death and what people can be, knowing the darkest side of each person.

She understands people, has empathy and cares about the well-being of others, but she can be extremely cold and cruel to her enemies, who for her deserve what they will experience, and can often be more cruel than the enemy itself.
