"Ilura is the Keeper of the Mist Garden, a confusing and terribly difficult place to navigate in a realm separate from our own. The whole of the Mist Garden is laden with thick fog, floating ruins, and massive chasms leading to unending depths. Without guidance from her, survival there would be impossible. Ilura is fond of the lunar moths in the garden and has names for all of them. She considers them her friends and speaks to them regularly. The highlight of her age-long life was her meeting with a human, a man named Reiglen. Upon seeing Ilura, Reiglen fell in love. He remained in the gardens with her, telling her of the world beyond the doors, and of the kings, mountains, and cities that she had never dreamt could exist. Reiglen died several hundered years later, his life was extended due to the Garden's magical healing properties. Though she mourns his death, Ilura desire nothing more than to explore the world beyond the doors, and to explore the places Reiglen spoke to her of.

The Hidden Gardens exist in a realm beyond our own, and have many secret doors leading to them. The doors themselves are varied in appearance and can exist as almost anything, a puddle in the street, a low hanging mist, a closet, a cave entrance. They never remain in one place for long, and it is impossible to know when a door will appear without the Second Sight. Each door leads to a different part of the gardens. The gardens themselves are massive and could never be fully explored in the lifetime of a human. Some gardens are lush and green, others are dense and misty. Once entered it is nearly impossible to find another door to return to the realm you arrived from without the aide of a Keeper."
