Some people really do think they are powerless. That they cannot reach out. That their worlds are dreamless, hopeless, meaningless. We fool ourselves that everything is so simple, that there can only be black and white. That nothing leads up to now, and now itself will be forever the same. So we treat our actions and emotions as investments, expecting things in return, forgetting the joys of simply doing for the sake we can. It doesn't feel genuine...does it..?
So we panic and move so fast the present seems like a blur to us. The past is a relentless monster, the future an uncertain burden.
