For PIxel Day, I thought I would try to uprez the dwarf fortress graphics EVEN FURTHER.
My fortress got completely overrun by plump helmet men, so I decided to try to appease them with a tribute. Not only did it not work at all, they kept spawning to the point where the frame rate hit 1(1). Maybe they were insulted by the PLUMPness?
RIP Dwarves, they are locked in time forever now.

They are not the most aggressive enemy in the game, but they can spawn in dozens at a time. They completely overran the subterranean forests and dropped the framerate to a dead standstill. I don't even think you can eat them or anything.
