My vision of King David, the Biblical warrior king of ancient Israel, struts through a desert sandstorm. The costume I designed for him incorporates mainly Assyrian and Arabic influences, but I gave him a fairly dark complexion to reflect possible African ancestry inherited from the Hebrews' captivity Egypt. The color scheme incorporates the blues and whites you see on the Israeli flag today, but I mixed them with the greens and reds of Palestine (the ancient Hebrews were basically Palestinian Jews after all).
