There is a festival each year to celebrate summer moths hatching. Its customary to wear imitation clothes of human festivals to confuse the moths into leaving their chrysalis to investigate.

Clothes moths don't actually eat holes in clothes it's only the caterpillars which do.

Traditional silk is made by a process of effectively boiling silk moths in their chrysalis (very oversimplified)
