This was the 2nd Gryphon I created while attempting to play with how wings would look in a dynamic space.
After I sketched it, I made an inked version over top of it with animation paper, which I colored with color pencils, which sold very quickly and for a good amount of cash on Furbid. I believe I drew it about the year 2000, then did this other inked version also on animation paper, which I scanned and Colored in Photoshop 5.5
I generally don't ink anything anymore. I prefer my pencil lines over my inking.
This was a very popular selling print in 2002, as well as many times on the internet.
