Looking through your gallery there is definitely a Tim Burton-esque sense of darkness going on, but they all seem to be lacking, as if something is missing. It's simple to the point of lacking so it's a weakness rather than a strength in my opinion.

Brilliant ambient lighting and subtle use of contrast.
Is the head done in byro?
If some seems that way.

I like the eerie lighting.

this is really good. the anatomy around the chest seems a little off to me, but other than that the lighting and the style is nice.
I especially like the detail on the head.
