The Kniit people have three major tribes. Carinae have darker complexions and thin clothing, ideally suited for the intense sun on the equator of their arid home-world Skav. Many have plenty of wealth from their primary export of oil, and like to decorate with jewelry. Carinae people are responsible for most of the Ascendancy's commerce, trade and scientific innovation.
