The illustration depicts the scarred Queen of Hearts who was betrayed by the King, which broke her heart and made her sew a new one, since she can't put the pieces back anymore. Her attempt at... suicide failed, she rose as the Queen of Broken Hearts, pulling herself away from the original deck.
It was done with Copic Sketch, drawing pens, Sharpies and A4 paper.
