The finished pages of King Coyote. I've decided to just scrap this story, since I feel like taking over half a year on a project this short is a bit silly. Especially since its criticism has long since stopped being valid, with how much has changed at this point.

1: There once was a farming kingdom, ruled by a greedy coyote. He had been voted in to replace the old king, and was now free to rule however he pleased. His citizens worked tirelessly to feed themselves, but half of everything they made was taken as tax.

2: Young, old, well, sick. If you could get out of bed, then you could keep the kingdom fed, with only a promise to feed you in your time of need. Eventually, one citizen went into the king's castle and demanded an audience.

3: Finished August 30, 2023

4: Finished April 29, 2023

* 5: However, as the king's belly began to hang, he undoubtedly felt full. Soon, the king became so sick that he felt that he couldn't eat any more. But he persisted, relentless, to keep his place in the castle and take this insurgent as property.

7: Loaf upon loaf, fruit upon fruit, cake upon cake, cheese, carrots, squash, and roots. All grew upon the king, a prison from which nothing escaped, his hubris being increasingly reflected on his frame.

11: The servants and challenger watched his majesty fly onto his back, dying before he hit the ground. In spite of his hubris and vigor, Artur had only eaten less than an eighth of an eighth of his total reserves.

12: The people then lived without a king, producing only what they needed. Those who can afford the land's riches will never use them, but those who need the land's riches will eventually give back.
