First time posting art to Newgrounds. Been a LONG time user and huge fan of this amazing site but never thought to post my shit till now for whatever reason. Either way, definitely want to upload more art as time goes by.

Sketch of Ammy & Issun in their iconic pose from one of the best games ever made and one of my all time favs. "The best Zelda game that Nintendo never made". Bought this on my old-ass PS2 way back when and bought it again for PS4 with the awesome HD remaster cos I love it that damn much. If you've never played Okami, get on that shit whenever you get the chance. Guarantee that you'll be in for one of the best experiences with a gorgeous, timeless art-style, fun-ass gameplay, the awesome brush mechanic and some amazing music. Glory to the Sun Goddess.

Had this one done a few months ago when I got a new sketchbook and wanting to get back into drawing again and pretty much learning the basic art fundamentals from scratch. Just recently went back to this sketch to touch up on a few finishing details and while not at all completely satisfied with it, (like everybody who creates anything out of something they love) I felt posting this here would be good for any sort of critique/feedback, cos goddamn I have a FUCK ton to learn, that's for sure.

The basic light sketch was done with a basic 2B pencil and the colouring was done with bloody Crayola crayons cos I'm a cheap bastard. Definitely want to redraw this in the near future with different materials, cos I'm still unhappy with colouring and shading and the proportions for Ammy's neck are way off cos I tried to fit her entire body and shape on the whole page while still having Issun in the frame and thus clearly botched it because of it.

Overall, had a ton of fun making this even with major frustrations here and there when sketching the basic lines and DEFINITELY when colouring with the bloody crayons. Gonna be drawing more fanart in the hopeful near future cos my love for this game is immeasurable. Hope you enjoy.
