I felt I was doing okay...until I tried to give it a background. I tried doing my crushed pencil lead rubbing "technique", but I failed miserably. Okay, I've learned my lesson about doing it that way. It's tedious, unrewarding and hasn't worked since "Basement Beast".

I took a new approach to coloring the creatures, though. Some of them were rushed, but this piece is just a prototype for the real painting I'm planning to make. When it comes time to create that, I will do my best to meticulously render them.
