The unicorns are a bigger part of the lore of her universe :3 Essentially their dad is Methuselah, the Unicorn man in my other posts and he essentially brings on the apocalypse. His four sons (Chow Chow- Pestilence, Bechamel- Death, Aquafaba- Famine, and Coco- Destruction) are the four horsemen of the apocalypse and theyre responsible for the world wide androcide. Most men are dead in this universe (resulting in femcel ingrid- she's bitter and surrounded by androgynous unicorn bishounen but wants to stay ~pure~ and scoffs that it was TOTALLY a good thing that most boys arent around anymore). This goes back to the medieval mythos of western europe of unicorns being violent animals that can only be sated by a chaste maiden- otherwise theyre extremely destructive creatures. I wanted to give them an androgynous design to make them more "disarming" and not so overtly scary and powerful looking. Plus the whole thing with girls being totally obsessed with unicorns and whatnot because they have a girly connotation now adays despite their violent and puritanical origins. Each of their outfits ~loosely~ ties into their motif. Pestilence has a surgical/biohazard gown, Death has a funeral dress, Famine has an exposed stomach (also hes just a manwhore), and Destruction is in military regalia. They're kind of the ruling class now that the world is in shambles and Ingrid is in their military cult because it was the safest option.
