Nico Rhapsody is a Deoxys that identifies as a person. They don't like being called a Pokémon, and absolutely refuse to be caught by other trainers. They themselves catch other Pokémon as a trainer, and are even recognized as an official trainer in the gym challenge of the region they live in (which happens to be the Unova region).

Since Nico understands the annoyance of having pokéballs flung at them, whenever they want to capture a wild Pokémon, they always ask it if it wants to join their party, rather than chucking balls left and right.

Nico doesn't claim to be a human, and is somewhat proud of their alien origin, but they do prefer to be treated equally with other humans in the Pokémon world. They don't exactly know where they came from. Their only lead is that they once heard about another Deoxys that was once a space virus of sorts, but that Deoxys was captured by a champion trainer. Nico would like meet that other Deoxys.

Nico has all the same powers and abilities as any Deoxys would, with strong psychic capabilities and shapeshifting. Nico uses this shapeshifting to some degree to form their body to be a little more human-like, allowing them to fit into clothes. Nico prefers not to use their powers often, aside from occasional telekinesis and other such psychic abilities for casual everyday use. They never count themselves as a Pokémon during a battle, and will accept the loss when all 6 of their party members are knocked out.

Nico studied many human customs, cultures, and languages during their time learning to become a person. They know most languages used in the Pokémon world, though they happen to find Unovan the easiest.

They're somewhat well known in their home town, and most people seem to accept the fact that they identify as a person, allowing them to do many human things. Some trainers however feel as though Deoxys is a threat, what with being a rare mythical pokémon "posing" as a human, and try to capture them.

Of course, being 100% unwilling to be caught, Nico will escape any ball thrown at them, unless someone uses a Master Ball. In that case however, Nico would not follow any commands given to them.

P.S. The idea of Nico came about when I was talking about Deoxys with one of my friends, and how giving them hair and a cool hat like Kite from Hunder x Hunter would be pretty awesome. So here we go, Kite Deoxys.
