"Mask" is a thing I came up with trying to get past some art block.

It's an entity of some sort with a plethora of abilities. First of all, the closer you get to it, the colder you become. It's your body temperature dropping, rather than the air being cold.

Making physical contact with it will disable your ability to breathe, but it'll return once you let go. Staring directly at its unmasked face will cause all of your bodily organs to shut down simultaneously.

Its body is surrounded by an ashen dust, and it breathes this ash as well.

The inside of its spine contains a plagued poison fluid. Its ribs secrete this fluid in the form of a thick reddish slime.

When it speaks, you're unable to hear its voice directly from it's body, not until the sound wave of its voice first bounces off of something else. This makes it appear as though it's voice comes from anywhere else but it's face.

If you experience any sort of fear or anxiety when near Mask, your heart will become slower for how much more adrenaline is currently inside of your body.

Attempting to wear its mask will cause it to stick to your face and prevent blood from being able to flow up past your neck, ultimately blocking blood flow to your brain. The mask detaches once it senses that you're no longer conscious.

Mask smells like antiseptic, or like the inside of a hospital.
