Meet the AZ Remix universe's Tankman.

John Captain, biological father of Pico Captain (yeah, that Pico), and once proud soldier of the army of the United States of Newgrounds.

His story begins a good while ago. He was a married man with a wife and a young Pico. Life was pretty normal in their home state of Utah, until the civil war struck. For some reason, the capital city of Utah waged war on the United States of Newgrounds, throwing all nearby capable soldiers, like John Captain, into battle.

The battle was somewhat rough, although often times both sides of the battle would goof around and tease each other. That didn't stop there being many casualties however.

Unfortunately, the battle of Utah started to spread rapidly, until the whole state was a war zone, the landscape and skies stained yellow in all the battle. While Pico was able to be transferred over to the state of Philly with some relatives during the battle, John's wife ended up losing her life before she could escape.

If it wasn't enough that John loses his wife and his only child is forced out of their home, another thing came up. One fateful night, he was abducted by unknown individuals, and brought into some kind of laboratory. See, he was once just a normal human like most people in Utah, but after being brought into the laboratory, they began modifying his body. He's much larger, stronger, armored, fitted with weaponry. John Captain is now "Tankman", the first ever compliant war cyborg.

Of course, after he was changed to the point of becoming no more than a obedient cyber warrior, he learns that the group behind this change was some kind of secret government division, led by someone named "Agent Senpai".

Tankman dominated the battlezone, turning the tides of war singlehandedly and forcing Utah into forfeiting the battle.

After all was said and done, Tankman was to be transported to a government storage facility in case of future battles, but on his way, he ends up catching a glimpse of his old home, destroyed and ruined. It was then that his own mind came back, and he regained freedom, though unfortunately without most of his memories.

Escaping the confines of this new life, he now seeks out a child he believes to be named "Pico", who could be anywhere in the world.
