50's cuties are best cuties
Once upon a time, there was a little comic created by Pusztai Pál, about a young woman named Jucika. Featuring no dialogue, and told by visual gags and a delightful color palette, this comic featured a biting social satire centered around censorship and sexism; and a likeable and enchanting main character. In my humble opinion, it's a blessing that this author and the girl he created are now finally getting the recognition they rightfully deserve. And what better way to honor them than with a tasteful and loving tribute featuring Jucika.
My absolute favorite part of this illustration is Jucika's face and expression. The style, though minimalistic, is beyond emotive; I really like her cheeky expression, and that involves her teasing smile and eyes. It's amazing how with so little features, you made a piece of art capable of sending emotion, and with no words needed, too! The rest of Jucika's body is also very well-made, too. I love how you designed her hair, legs, arms, hips, hands and breasts. Not only they are well-drawn, but they're also faithful to the original designs by Pál, and yet I can see how you managed to integrate your own style on Jucika. I see some Spance Angels vibes there, which is wonderful.
Jucika's lingerie is another detail worth speaking of. I really like the style you chose for her; sexy, but also classy and elegant. I particularly love her fishnet stockings. Given what we have seen of her in the comics, I think that they really fit her character.
Last but not least, the color palette. With the only colors being black and a variation of white (which emulates the quality of the papers Jucika's comics where published in, to a gorgeous effect), this picture still manages to capture the viewer's attention, thanks to the beautiful girl featured on it, and also due to the wonderful style she's drawn. An absolute eye-popping illustration.
I genuinely believe that with this entry, you did justice to Pusztai Pál and his loveable creation. Jucika looks incredible. Congratulations on this breathtaking entry, AtomicKingBoo!
