First time I saw one of these things was in "The Mythical Creatures Bible", wanna say it was written by Brenda Rosen. Great read.
This is not furry art. It is a mythological creature from Marco Polo's book.
The explorer describes about a colony of dog-headed men, or also known as cynocephalos, this creature was allegedly sighted by many travelers, merchants, and historians since the time of the Greeks.
So much so that in paintings, sculptures and maps they are mentioned.
