Based on something that someone I know on Discord drew for me and some other people in a server I'm in. He made "___Core" character designs from conglomerates of traits regarding characters that we tend to be drawn to, and "BracketsCore" ended up being a disheveled old mad scientist with a robo-pack + beakie mask w/ green tubes. NICE 👍

I've actually had this WIP sitting around for a while. Haven't really been drawing or writing much (at least, not stuff that's too presentable/public) because I've been burned out and tired (trying to draw has been frustrating, everything feels more difficult, I haven't been getting proper sleep and feel like I've been going completely insane, etc.), but finally got this done.

The design is mostly the same outside of the cane (because Fabius Bile got it right with his pimp-cane lmao), the metal parts being a dark brown/gold shimmer as opposed to grey, added golden fluid with the green, overall just added more Brackets-ey traits to him (mostly the darker metal, inhuman augments, and the gold glows/blood), and added those big fuck-off back claws with little tentacle mantis feet-handsies.

Called him "Doctor Braces" because another name for the symbol of "brackets" ( these things [] {} ) is "braces".

Tangent: See the hand holding the cane up? FUCK that hand. That hand took me days alone to get to look right, I couldn't find any fucking references to work off of lmao.
