Several years ago, the palaeontology division of the evil Forge Corporation stumbled across 9 preserved dinosaur eggs, believing the eggs survived extinction 65 Million Years ago through suspended animation. While the dinosaurs inside the eggs were already dead, their DNA was completely intact, allowing their bio-engineers to harvest them to create the ultimate super-soldiers, to achieve world domination.

The Dinosaurs were roughly 7 feet tall, strong, intelligent and capable of speech. However, their minds were very resistant to mind control and disobeyed many of the orders given to them. Forge deemed the experiments a failure. Despite this, the scientific breakthroughs of creating dinosaur mutants were too successful and the experiments could not be killed. They were locked away until Forge could figure out how to control them.

During their incarceration, the Dinosaurs would often hear the guards listening to metal. The music somehow spoke to them, sparking a form of raw energy they have never felt before. This inspired the Tyrannosaurus mutant to break free from his cage and free the other experiments. Realising the 9 of them are the only creatures of their kind, as well as discovering this newfound passion, they decided to abandon their designated purpose and allow the inspiration of the music that gave them the willpower to be free to form a metal band. Thus, Dinometal is born.
