Hey folks,

first of all I hope you enjoy my entry for Jazza's contest with the Topic "Isolation"!

I wanted to do something like this for a long time now and im so glad that I finally took my time to realize such a piece. Well, this basically represents me just a few years ago (I'm 15 now so this phase was around me being 11-12 years old) I always felt strange, like not at all fitting into modern society (caused through Asperger syndrome, but I didn't knew that at the time). So I started isolating myself from the real world, I had basically no contact to human beings... at all. But surprisingly I can look back at that time and think "It was quite fun and a super important experience!". You know, I started building my own world and everything came to life, plushy ... booom... dragon. Yeah, sounds quite funny doesn't it? It was!

I found a quote online that describes the meaning of the painting better than I ever could with words, it goes something around the lines:" Its a lovely surprise to finally discover how unlonely being alone can be"

• Time taken: around 14h (yeah, im basically drawing straight since the announcement, excluding school)
