After her original conception all the way back in 2017 (4 years ago as of posting this), I have finally created a character reference sheet for Mugamu Aharsu, fully revamped using the best bits from all her designs over the years. I'm really happy with how it turned out (even if it killed my wrist drawing all those little hair lines) and how it shows just how much I've improved over the years. And now with this, I can finally throw my money at artists to commission art of her without having to worry about details being missed or the wrong colours being used.

Also, just as a throwback for myself, here's the original sketch I did of Mugamu, who's original design was inspired by Umaru Doma from 'Himouto! Umaru-chan'.

As you can see in her original design, she was made to be much shorter looking (while still being 4'8", meaning she looked monstrously oversized when compared to other characters of similar heights) and wasn't actually blind in one eye. Her hat (not a helmet, it is canonically too soft to be considered a helmet) didn't have the stripes it has now and she even had a very tiny nose, even the funky font has stuck around and become somewhat sleeker over the years.

So after 4 years of developing Mugamu (and basically thinking of her as a daughter [cringe I know but oh well]), I'd say that this is quite the turning point for both me as an artist and Mugamu as a character.
