Full disclosure I don't support nor detest the invasion of Ukraine. I'm not from either countries nor do I have a vested interest in either. So all that you're about to read is just shit I felt like writing and is not an accurate portrayal of my opinions on this matter, I've tried to make that clear by not using any opinion-esque language, but I am no writer. 

The breaking of Ukraine. 

2022, The Russian federation invades the nation of Ukraine. The aims of the federation being the securing of their border by depriving their largest military adversary NATO from a new member. using the active rebellions in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine's far east as an excuse for the invasion. With the pair being recognized as fully sovereign nations by Russia before the invasion is launched. 

NATO and other western powers, Attempting to protect their own interest within Ukraine send both funding and weapons to the Ukrainian government, Along with sanctioning the Russian federation to unprecedented levels unheard of since 2014 when the Russian federation had annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine previously. However such actions were not as effective as was hoped, As the President of the Russian federation, Vladimir Putin, Now had no choice but to go forward with the invasion at full force, As backing down now would have him completely booted from the Russian federation's bureaucracy for weakness. And as such Ukraine's fate was sealed. 

Within 1 month Ukraine would fall. It's armed forces unable to face off against the Russian Goliath for too long, And with no other nations or NATO being willing to join in on Ukraine's side due to the Russian federation's nuclear stockpile and the M,A,D. doctrine essentially making it impossible for Ukraine to be saved without the war escalating into something Ukraine's independence was not worth. 

The Russian federation had achieved its goal. With the potential distance between both itself and it's largest adversary now pushed back to the Polish border, Breathing room had been established. And to insure that Ukraine would not be a problem in the future for the Russian federation, It was partitioned into multiple nations. The two peoples republics of Luhansk and Donetsk, And Novorossiya, Were forged from the now rotting carcass of Ukraine. With Ukraine itself having been pushed to the west of the Dnieper river and even further in the south. Russia however would not be doing well even after this invasion, As the sheer amount of sanctions had all but sentenced the Russian Economy to near death. With dependence on the Peoples republic of China now being far higher than before. And locking the pair into an even deeper bond, That when the time came, Would be a massive issue for the western powers.
